We are a busy family with 3 crazy little twerps!!! Haylee plays softball and will be trying out for the High School team in a few weeks, Hayden is just getting serious in Martial Arts, and Hunter is taking pitching lessons and just got asked to play on an accelerated baseball team!! Jared and I just get to try to keep them where they need to be- we don't have time for anything else right now!!! We may not have a lot of extra time but we love to be involved in what the kids are doing! That... and we hope someday one of them strike it rich and take care of mom and dad... :)
Last weekend was Hunter's first 11u baseball tournament in Salem. He did really well! He pitched some, played 3rd and left field and by far had the BEST batting average of his whole team. He was the only one to get a hit the first game, the second game he got the BEST hits of anyone, and in the last game they played he HIT IT OVER THE FENCE!!! He crushed the ball out of left field. I wish I could say I got it on camera but I was too busy jumping off the bleachers screaming and high- fiving the other moms!!! It was awesome. Hunter had a look of complete shock on his face according to Aaron. What was really cool is that Aaron & April and the kids and Jed & Kallie and their kids were all there to witness it! His first EVER home run and it was over the fence!! Plus he got an RBI with that hit too. He had quite a tournament!!
We went to Mesquite to watch Rykley and Korben in their first accellerated baseball tournament. We had tons of fun! The weather kind of cooperated....it was WAY warmer than it was here in Payson so I won't complain too much!!! On the way down, we had to stop at the Chevron with the big white rocking chair for a treat or we couldn't finish our journey to Mesquite. We found some weird looking kids in disguise- any guesses on who they might be?? On Saturday, we took the kids to Vegas. That was quite an experience!! Hunter was SO disturbed by the people handing out those little porn cards. They were on the ground every where! He was really bugged... They did like the Bellagio water show and some of the arcades and things. Hayden even braved the New York New York roller coaster!! He wasn't sure he wanted to go through with it the closer we got in line but I made him stick it out! We survived!! We had a good time on our little Easter getaway!!! The kids had the most fun swimming in the pool at the hotel- maybe next time we will save money and just sit at the hotel and they can swim the whole time! :)
